Retail Cannabis Clones – FAQ
General Information
What makes Covert Valley clones different?
Our clones are fully rooted and planted in Canna Coco, ensuring a high success rate during transplant. They are carefully cultivated and come in a 32 oz Slurpee-style cup with a domed lid for protection and humidity control.
How long do the clones last on the shelf?
Our clones have a shelf life of 10–14 days, depending on environmental conditions. Providing moderate light and occasional air circulation will help maintain their health.
Do I need to water the clones while in-store?
No additional watering is required while the clones are in their retail packaging. Simply squeeze the cup every few days to allow fresh air circulation for the plant.
What lighting is required in-store?
We recommend keeping the clones under moderate light for at least 18 hours per day to prevent them from triggering early flowering.
Do you offer a display light setup?
Yes! As an optional addition we can provide a compact SunBlaster light and stand to help maintain clone health in-store. If space is limited, you can store clones under optimal lighting in a backroom and rotate them onto the sales floor as they sell.
Packaging & Shipping
How are the clones packaged for shipping?
We use a secure packaging system to prevent damage during transit:
• Clones are placed in custom trays that keep them upright.
• Domed lids protect delicate leaves and maintain humidity.
• The trays are packed in reinforced boxes to prevent movement and absorb impact.
• Even if the box is tipped during shipping, the clones remain secure.
• A wooden style faster is used to keep the clone secure in the cup during transport.
**Please ensure to remove upon arrival of shipment**
How many clones come in a case?
Each genetic is sold in cases of 4 for easy inventory management.
When do you ship orders?
Orders are shipped via Ace Courier every Wednesday.
• Most locations receive their order the next day (Thursday).
• Some locations may receive their order by Friday, depending on regional logistics.
Transplanting & Growing
How do I transplant my clone?
Each plant comes pre-rooted in Coco and is ready for easy transplanting.
• Wearing gloves, gently remove the rooted clone from its cup.
• Place it into at least a 1-gallon pot, ensuring no roots are exposed.
• Cover the base of the stem lightly with soil.
What temperature is best for clones?
Avoid extreme temperature fluctuations. We recommend keeping them in a stable environment of 78–80°F (25–27°C).
When should I start feeding my clone?
As roots expand, nutrient needs increase. We recommend Canna Nutrients to support healthy growth.
How long is the veg stage?
This varies by strain, but in general:
• Expect a 16”–24” plant within 4 weeks of vegetative growth.
• We recommend a minimum of 4 weeks in veg before flowering.
Returns & Support
Do you accept returns?
• We accept returns only for clones that arrive damaged due to shipping or handling.
• Clones that did not sell or exceed their shelf life (10+ days from delivery) are not eligible for return or credit.
